Lake View Village, Lake Oswego, OR 2003
"The Awe and Wonder" In reflecting Lake Oswego's proximity to nature and the abundance of life, the bold, abstract quality of this design is aesthetically pleasing and, yet, the details are the microcosm of life - seed pods, insects and leaves. The shapes, color and movement of the overall design are the macrocosm - the essence of our relationsip to the universe - the awe and wonder of life. It hints at our sense of prehistory, the forming of the earth, and the beginnings of a cycle that nurtures and preserves our physical surroundings. This is about the beginning of life, life in a circle, and the presence of order in the universe.
